Policy Risk Officer
Create the policies that will rebuild trust.
At the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, we want to create an area that our residents are proud to live in. Which is why we’re involving our communities from the start and we must continue talking with residents to make them feel they part of the Housing Management services we provide. As a result, we’re committed to creating policies and procedures that truly work for our residents.
For our housing programme to work effectively, it’s crucial we consider our residents’ complaints and opinions. As a Policy and Risk Officer, you’ll incorporate resident feedback into a robust and up-to-date policy framework for the Housing Management department. You’ll then oversee the development of policies and procedures, making sure they are followed correctly. Supervising the strategy for risk management will also be up to you. In fact, you’ll become one of the Council’s policies and risk management experts.
To apply for this role, you’ll need detailed knowledge of policy development and identifying and mitigating risks. It’s this expertise that will inform your sound judgements to allow you to offer relevant advice. You’ll also have to bring excellent communications skills, as you’ll be responsible for providing guidance to a variety of people at various levels.
