Sheltered Housing Apprentice

Salary: Apprenticeship FTE £19,147

Location: Any RBKC Sheltered Housing Scheme

Hours:  30 Hours per week, usually Monday – Friday 9.00am – 4.00pm

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and competent person to deliver a range of Enhanced Housing Management Support services for older and vulnerable residents living in sheltered housing and the local communities.

Your responsibilities will include directly delivering enhanced housing management support from any designated sheltered scheme, carrying out needs and risk assessments, signposting and liaising with other services, organising regular planned reviews for residents, consulting with residents, ensuring electronic records are kept up to date, overseeing the safety and security and planned works of the buildings and surrounds, and meeting service objectives and targets.

An ability and willingness to undertake the day to day work in a calm, sensitive and diplomatic manner, and resolve day to day operational issues on your own initiative will be essential.  You will also be enthusiastic and highly motivated to develop and promote our services in a positive and professional manner.

You should have a strong background in effectively meeting objectives and targets in a customer focused environment, along with excellent communication, IT and organisational skills.

You will be spending 20% of your working hours gaining skills and knowledge to work towards your Level 3 Housing/Property management apprenticeship. This can include going to college, on-line learning, webinars, coaching or shadowing.
